Songs From The Blue House release their debut single 'Don't Fear The Reaper'

Songs from the Blue House have just released their debut single: a cover of the hugely popular Blue Oyster Cult hit ‘(Don’t Fear) The Reaper’. It is available to download at most online stores including iTunes and play.com.

The single is just one of thirteen tracks from their third album

‘Tree’, the follow up to the widely successful ‘Too’ and debut

album ‘Songs From The Blue House’.

Songs From The Blue House have a varied line up depending

on the gig but their music remains consistent - always catchy,

enjoyable and full of energy.  The music is bluegrassy, sort of folky, a bit country but still nodding to pop and even punk at times.

In 2006 they shared the main stage with the likes of Robert Plant, Deacon Blue, Hayseed Dixie and The Pretenders at The Cornbury Festival.

Last year was also a fantastic year for Songs From The Blue House: their new album ‘Tree’ was in the BBC Suffolk Top Five Albums of the year and they opened The Oxford Folk Festival on the main stage as support to the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.

If that wasn’t enough, they were also featured in ‘The Word’ magazine with editor Mark Ellen describing them as “Fantastic, I’d recommend them to anybody”.

With a fantastic debut single, 2008 looks set to be an even better year for Songs From The Blue House...
