Summer Festivals '09

Over the past year, Paul decided to take a break from gigging furiously in London, Essex and the surrounding counties, to work on a new album.  However this summer, he performed at some local festivals; the prestigious Ipswich Music Day, Stowfest and

Brightlingsea Free Music Festival.  Ipswich Music Day in particular puts on only a handful of

bands chosen from the hundreds that apply so Paul was very pleased to be

asked to perform at the free event held in Christchurch Park that attracts over

30,000 each year. He played to festival goers on the Town 102

(Ipswich's local radio station) stage.

Brightlingsea was a very pleasant surprise.  Having been told that he would be

in the acoustic tent, Paul still decided to bring the whole band (rather than

the stripped down acoustic duo or trio he occasionally gigs with) and turned up

to find he was on an outdoor stage in front of several thousand avid listeners!

CDs sold like hot cakes after the gig and the weather even stayed sunny for the whole day!

So after a break from music making, Paul plans to head back into the studio in September to continue working on the new album which should be out mid 2010.  It will include the new tracks; Miyagi, Nothing and Paul's cover of Jason Mraz's summer hit 'I'm Your's' which he performed with Jason at a gig last summer.  Watch this space!
